The name "Ji Fung" means spirit of resolution, strength, and goodwill. Originally "Ji Fung" was designed to be a steel ship in New Zealand, but was built by wood craftsmen in Hong Kong instead. Currently owned by the Hong Kong Outward Bound School it is the only ocean going tall ship in all of the Outward Bound Schools worldwide. With the return of Hong Kong to China in 1997, "Ji Fung" will be the last ship to fly the Hong  Kong flag.
