Astrid
Built in 1918, The Astrid was first a motor
ship working as a herring drifter in the Baltic Sea. In 1970 she
came into British hands and was refurbished with her impressive
rigging and sailed as a training ship.
In 1999/2000 she was extensively rebuilt and now features 12
comfortable cabins, a pleasant saloon and bar. The Astrid also has
a second deckhouse, the navigation room, that can be used as a
separate meeting room for groups.
From her home in the Netherlands the Astrid travels thousands
of miles each year offering corporate sailing days, holidays on
board and sail training.
