Tarangini 3 Masted Barque

Tarangini is 177 feet in length and was launched in November of 1997. Her
designer is British Naval Architect Collin Muddie.
The Indian ship carries a barque rig. This signifies square sails on the
forward two masts and fore and aft sails on the mizzen. Interestingly the ship
carries 12 fore and aft sails, and just 8 square sails. She carries 3600 square
feet of sail area on her 3 masts. The ships mainmast, the middle of the three
masts, is just under 114 feet in length
